Window View on Winter in CA

I decided to post this mostly because I wanted to leave comments for Seema and Ann and could not in the normal way.

Ann, I am curious about the pen you are using! What is different or special about it? Of course I want one as you are doing so well with it in this little scene you did (in the post below this one).

Seema, I love the color and joy in this painting of yours out the window and the happy plants on the sill.
(in the post below Ann's).

My little drawing was done sitting in my recliner looking up at a tall window in our living room that looked out on wintry bare trees and a gray sky on a winter morning this past week. Done in ink only.

If anyone has any suggestions of what more I can try to get my comment privileges back on this blog I'd be most appreciative.

Sunday night: I still cannot even see the comments left here; or on any other posts here. it is so frustrating. I went to blogger help but see nothing there that indicates they are working on or realize this is a problem.

  1. How funny, after writing all that above I was able to bring up the comment box all of a sudden. Bet I can't do it twice. LOL

  3. Hi Lynn, I guess I like my Lamy Safari pen because the nib stays solid - I know some people like flexible nibs, but I find more control with the Lamy. Easy to hold and use as when you turn it to draw angles it doesn't scratch the surface of the paper - At least that's what I find, so it is a personal opinion of course! I did a post about it back on the 31st December on my blog. Hopefully this will help you and others who may have wondered about this pen....regards, ann.

  5. I love your perspective, that the window isn't square, love it. I sometimes have trouble with perspective, it seems to be a hit and miss with me.
    Best,
    Jenn

  6. Jennifer, guess what? The window really isn't square. That happens to be the shape of the real window, but thanks for thinking it was arty of me to draw it so! ;-)) Love it!
